React Job: Junior Manual Test Engineer

We are currently looking for a Junior Test Engineer for our brand new location - Lisboa!

We are looking for a Junior Test Engineer, passionate about software quality and testing. You will work closely with our Software Engineers to ensure that the currently developed features are verified and pass the quality gate.

About your Team:

The Engineering Team is the largest of all our teams with around 70+ colleagues. We have more than 10 teams working on 8 million lines of code split into 1000 modules and delivering over 1000 new features per year. Although MANTA is a creature of the ocean, making cloud its habitat is one of our goals for this year, so our team is growing and we are looking for people that want to help in this big challenge, which is making our product flawless. Our stack is in Java 8 and 11, Spring, Tomcat, Neo4j, Antlr, H2 DB, Mybatis, ActiveMQ Artemis, React, Swagger, Javascript, C#, Maven, Git, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and Openshift. As a Test Engineer you will use mainly Jira, Confluence, and TestLink. For test automation we use Robot framework, ZAP, Jenkins, Ansible and Azure DevOps.

What you'll do:

• Dry run testing, qualification testing;
• Design test cases based on the development specification or your knowledge of the system;
• Manually execution of TestLink scenarios;
• Test the server and client parts of the system;
• Enrich user interface of our platform, system installations, and updates;
• Verify the results in the relational and/or graph database;
• Test SOAP web services and REST services with some level of assistance;
• Test integrated systems via their miscellaneous API;
• Improve test coverage and report issues in Jira;
• Cooperate with other testers and developers in your team.

What you should have:

• Minimum 1 to 3 years of work experience in testing complex SW systems;
• Understanding of the software process lifecycle basics and ability to describe the testing process used in your organization/team;
• Understanding of the end-to-end life cycle of a web request from browser to backend and database;
• Ability to describe a high-level architecture of a complex SW system;
• Active knowledge of Postman and REST API. Knowing the principles of SOAP web services and SOAP UI is nice to have;
• Experience finding and exploring application logs and extracting the bug report;
• Familiarity with any issue/bug tracking system;
• Ability to create test cases (TestLink) based on the development specification;
• Understanding of the basics of the git versioning system;
• Experience with writing and executing the test scenarios;
• Ability to estimate and plan your own tasks, with the needed supervision
